I knew the front tyres were getting pretty low when i got back from the ring in may but i thought they would do for a few months before i needed to change them,

anyway havent really bothered checking them since, silly me, and on the way to work this morning i felt the recogniseable pull on the steering wheel identifying a flat:(

not the best time to have a flat on the way to work but i managed to get the spare on and to my horror the tyre was in a very bad shape with like spikey thread stuff pretty much coming through on the inside:clap: well done ricky lad!

anyway this month ive had to fork out for a years insurance £750 (how much you guys pay?) and i paid for me and the missus to go turkey next month which was £800 so i'm a bit poor now. i dont like compromising and buyin cheap when it comes to the car but i cant afford to go for the promised eagle f1s. lookin for cheaper alternatives that should still perform fairly well.

any suggestions - with prices please if poss.

cheers guys - sorry you had to read my story;)

Good cheapo alternative would be the Falken 452s, for sure... isn't it funny how the big costs always come at once. You can go for a few month with none at all and then bam!

i know its shocking. but the months i havent got any big outgoings are the months i treat myself to new exhausts and ps3's and tvs and dont end up saving anything for when i really need it:)

how much are a pair of falken 452's for the front?

A tidy cheap tyre is the Nexen n6000 or n3000?? im not sure which.. pretty sure n6000 ..... my bro had them on the rear of his M3 ... the coped well with the 343bhp going to them to be honest... and they are cheap as chips...no sure how much they would be for you but i priced them up for myself (225/45/17) and they were around £62 a corner ...they re the ONLY budget tyre that i would trust ...but then again if you want to spend a bit more the options are endless ... Falken ze912's are a good tyre and pretty cheap... but then again Fk452's aint that much more expensive and are better again...
