Changing the Brake light switch

Hi guys...

Looks like I need to change my brae light switch, does anyone know how i can do this? Ive searched but only found a guide for a leon.

Help anyone? Thanks

The fitting will be the same though isn't it? Have you looked? It'll be really easy anyway, just have a look and see.

Part number is 1C0945511ARDW for the latest version switch (green colour) which is supposed to be more relaible than the original versions. Remove trim panel above pedals (3 torx screws) undo connector and remove old brake switch by twisting (anticlockwise I think). The latest type switch is fitted with the brake pedal up (i.e. not pressed). Put it in position (it only fits one way round) and twist to lock it - there is a slight click when it goes in properly. This locks the switch mechanism at the correct length. If you still have problems afterwards its probably not clicked in place properly - it took me two goes to get it right. (Earlier versions apparently need to be fitted with the pedal pressed down and are easy to break if fitted incorrectly - there is a more detailed guide somewhere on here if you get the earlier type).

Thanks guys, fitted it today, a lot easier than I first thought.
