I didn't find the guide so I thought it could be helpful. Sorry if it already exists!

Removing the center console:
- pull out the bottom bit, there are 2 clips holding it in place (bottom two green circles)
- take out the headunit and the plastic “shelf” under it
- undo 7 torx 15 screws (red arrows)
- pull the console towards you, there are 3 clips holding it on (the rest of the green circles)
- unclip the connectors for the rear window heaters and the repeaters
- undo the 2 more torx screws holding the AC to the console (yellow arrows)

- the console should be free now

Taking out the air vents:
- for the side vents:
- put a screwdriver between the plastic circles (that you probably want to replace) and simply try to force them out bit by bit, without breaking them
- for the center vents:
- disassemble the center console (as the picture above)
- there are 4 clips holding the entire vent in the console
- push the clips from inside (put your hand through the hole for the center panel) and
you will be able to simply pull out the whole vent.

- the center bit on the vents (on/off “switch”) is just pulled out from the vent if you want to take that apart too...

Just to say I used this guide, spot on. Decided to spray the panel silver while I had it apart to put in new stereo. Looks a lot better than the sea of black.[B)]

Hi, quick question about the center console:

I can get the small plastic peice from the bottom out (2 bottom clips), but thats as far as I can get. Nothing else seems to want to move or pop off. Tryed edging it out with screw drivers but it gets to a point where nothing else wants to move.
What is the best way of knowing im doing it right?

Cheers.

I wrapped mine as well as the interior door handles, it looks good but on closer inspection there are imperfections, if I had another go I recon I could perfect it. If you carbon wrap, Just take your time and use a heatgun (or hairdryer). It's all good fun

You interested in the console or the air vents?

The console initially as I am having trouble setting my new head unit in. The looms seem to be stopping me pushing it all the way in, hopefully getting the bottom 'tray' out while fitting it will help me install it correctly.
Thanks, Ash

Not sure if these will help, I quickly just drew them up. Let me know if you run into any more trouble. :)

Tried to keep them the same colours, take out the bottom tray first (sorry my pic cut off), just stick your fingers in the bottom holes :)rolleyes:) and pull away from the engine and slightly upwards, there should be 2 clips holding it in place (light green).

Then you want to take out the Radio and the tray beneath it to reveal the 4 torx screws (red arrows).

You should then be able to remove the plastic (should be 3 clips holding it in place (dark green circles) but be careful as it's pretty easy to crack (as you can see I did to mine). Just drew on those yellow arrows to show where there's space to tuck the cables.

There's another 2 torx screws to take out the aircon too once you've taken off the plastic.
