does anyone know if there is blanking cover available to close the area where the cd changer is, if its been removed from glove box

there is a sleeve you can get that fits in where the cd changer was to give you another bit of storage instead of an unsightly gap
have a look either at the leon modifications w/ part numbers threads or ask around and someone will PM you part number

iirc its around 15 quid

common problem. do a search, there is a good thread with pics etc on cleaning the relevant internal components of the changer that rectifies this problem.

yeh your lens is possibly dirty and needs cleaning, use a cd lens cleaner or, as i would remove cd changer, take off the cover and clean it with cotton bud and spirit.

Mines going into dealer re faulty changer, hopefully will get an new one under warrenty
