Result!

I still haven't done mine as I've been using a cassette adapter with my iPod. Out of interest, what cleaning solution did you use on the cotton bud?

I used some multi surface kitchen cleaner, its orange, and it cleans my surfaces quite well lol, I sprayed a bit on the end, poked around a bit, and tried again a few minutes later, its all good now!:)

Shouldn't even need to remove it -

eject the magazine, arm yourself with a cottonbud and something like MrMuscle orange-action (or alcohol if you have it) .... anything grease-cutting

To the back, left of the changer slot (nr. the lens) there are a couple of white plastic guides - poke the cotton bud dipped in your choice of solvent between these a few times, allow to dry, and start enjoying your CDs again

Worked for me when getting the CD error message. Mostly occurred when selecting CD1...

Mine comes up saying NO CD any one got any ideas

Ditto! I can actually hear the CD being loaded, then it says 'no CD'
I find ejecting the magazine and putting it back in cures it - but I shall now be breaking out the citrus juice to give it a good clean!!

Just done the cotton bud thingy with some of the wife's nail varnish remover. Worked a treat.
Thanks
