To be honsest the screen glare aint nowhere near as bad as i thought it would be and yes it is a lilliput touch screen .
As for the overheating thing , i myself have never had a problem , what happens to yours when it gets too hot ?

Your setup looks amazing btw [B)]

Bet its not long before i decide to sell mine as i seem to move from one fad to another really quickly :) ................. any offers lol ?

That looks cool mate.

What frontend are you using, is it Road Runner? Also what GPS software do you have and was it easy to integrate - I'm going to get that setup next I think.

I'll get some pics of the glove box setup as soon as I get chance :)
I did have to remove the rear of the glove box by the way!!

Frontend is roadrunner with the " zots day " skin and gps software is mapmonkey , integrating it is a doddle , goes without saying u will need a gps receiver aswell ( about £30 off ebay etc )

Look forward to seeing those pics of the pc in the glove box as thats what i originally wanted to do .

if i was keepin my car id fibreglass the dash and fit a 15" touch screen in but she is going im affraid lookin for a new project... maybe a 300zx :)

I fitted a car-puter in my old Corsa C. It was the same M10000 Mini-ITX board etc as the others mentioned, and was housed in the glove box and flush mounted lilliput screen into the dash. Intelligant psu etc, boots up with ignition etc.

I used Infomap Navigator plus for the sat nav which worked pretty well, until it got confused in london.

The frontend was mobile impact, which is without doubt the best frontend around IMO. can be downloaded for free here- http://mobileimpact.biz.tm
