card holder removal

does anyone know how to remove the card holder as mines broken so i need to replace it, it got stuck in, opened it up its out now just dont know if theres a simple way to remove it as dont want to break it,

help please

Ah see.... not sure to be honest, never had to remove it before, dunno if it would help, but maybe removing the Radio face will give you a bit of room to see etc? Just be careful of the ribbon connecting fascia to Head Unit.

i took the radio out the other day and tried to remove this to get at the air vents to then work my way up the dash to sort a rattle, i couldnt see a obvious way of getting it out

how easy is it to remove the radio face?

easy, 2 screws at the bottom of the radio the pull the fasica off and unplug the ribbon cbale connecting the fasica to the unit itself, then undo the 4 screws holding the unit in, pull forward, release the power, speaker and cd/changer plug at the rear and job done!

As Stated.^^^^... But be careful of Radio Aerial, I snapped mine, so now have a piece of radio going from aerial connection rammed in to hole on back of HU to make connection. Need to take apart and solder tbh...

so thats what it is lol mine is stuck in n jus thought it was some sort of blankin plate but leyt me no how much of a pain it is 2 do if ya could n if its 2 much hasstle it can stay as it is

easy mate i took my facia and undid my unit looked up and a card was stuck underneath i pulled the card out and then with small electrical screwdriver removed the card holder, as the gimp who had it before had tried to remove it with a chainsaw or something proper mashed it up, i have pics if u need them
