car jumping!!!!!!!

hi all, im currently having a problem with my car "jumping" while holding the accelarator to maiting speed. the car seems fine when florring it. but it does jump slightly (not much) when lifting off

the car has already been back for warranty job and so far:

~lambda sensor has been replaced but making no difference.

the last fault codes before lamba being changed were:

~16555/p0171/000369-fuel trim;bank1:system too lean
~17961-p1553=barometric/manifold pressure signal ratio out of range

there are more now with "epc" and "emmission control system" light both coming on but not had chance to read them cause car aint been in garage.

any1 else had this problem with there 1.4????????

any1 else's help v.much appreciated

just talked too a separate dealer who said they have had a few cars in with a simular sounding problem from which they replaced the cylinder head and/or a valve.

any1 experienced this???????????

engine dont jump while on idle and seems to run fine just every now and again when u hold the throttle it jumps and splutters only when driving.

how would you check that tho??? just by using faults codes etc through vag com?? or any other way???

i had that problem, on my little 1.4 whip. turned out to be an intermittant fuel fault. they just reset my ecu and it seems to have worked

(also not relevant at all to this. how much your car lowered on springs? is it munching on shockers?)

thank 4 the reply, the ecu has has been reset and updated from last time so makes me think there is definatly another fault cause the car is shocking, its even cut out on ez a few times at lowish revs aswell!!!!!!!

car is sitting a little lower, although at first i didn't think it looked dropped at all! but once they settled in i think it look better now. you can definatly tell its better when driving so wudn't like to think how good it would be with coilovers

if i was you...think about saving up and going the whole way to coilovers because the back still does sit a little to high with 17" on.

car has been in agen and this time they belive its something to do with egr valve, but there is a poblem with an air leak and pressure sumwhere aswell. he mensioned somethink about a pipe that runs to a canister in rear arch???? any1 shed any light about it ????

can you tell that im mechanicl minded!!! hahahahathid

but they will not do any warranty work untill the powerflow catback exhaust is changed back to standard exhaust??? what people think about warranty on this....is it true????

YEP! I reckon you're lucky they haven't voided the warranty on the running/emissions side of things and marked it on the dealer network so that all the dealers are aware of your exhaust

iv got a 1.4 sport 02, and my epc has just come on! my exhaust looks abit rusty dont think its blowing but could be the cat i guess

my 1.2 did this when i had it, i changed the spark plugs and it was fine!
