ok thanks bill that makes me feel a bit better that i havent put on a crap filter to contribute to th problem, should u greese the filters before you put them on the vag engines, (i need to get new cone anyway to keep it fresh do u supply universal fitting cones mate)

went to big boys today to have th car checked out vag-com came up with no logs, so shaun (thanks fo ur help top bloke) took it out and its low on th air flow reading so he said get a new maf so goin to try get on outta my dealer on warrenty runs out this month.
but im not sure how im goin to prove i need a new maf as there are no vag-com fault codes so there surley goin to say its fine

put ur standard airbox back in and say the car feels down on power and just say something like your friend has a LCR and the same thing happened to his car and he had a new MAF fitted and it fixed his problem!

yeh ive put th standard box an filter on im goin to say that an say they have vag-com and run test whilst driving it and say they logged it was down on air flow howz that sound

they do cleaner kit and application polymer re-coating spray tho. (well sticky)

i have vag-com but not th cable lol, ill be goin to big boys on sunday or monday and there goin to vag-com it for me, im in process of gettin th boost gauge ive always had them in my previous cars, wat boost should a remaped lcr peak at and then hold at

Had a similar glitch, Revo map did appear to highlight a problem for me with hesitation, although a very good power gain. No fault codes but Shaun at BBT did VAGcom and showed air flow figures down, I replaced MAF sensor and everything was much improved but reseting the ECU was like giving me a new car! I have a smile now as big as when I went from stock mode to revo!

ok ill try it do i just leave th car un-pliugged for 30mins ill try tht once i have th new maff

disconnect the battery for at least 30mins (do it for an hour or so to be on the safe side)

but saying that... if ur maff is fcuked then it wont work!

if saun said ur getting low airflow then im 99% its the maff then theres no point in reseeting the battery!
