As a bit of an update, I've just reinsured, with my old company "The Policy Shop" they matched a quote I had from M&S and I ended up paying a whisker over £337 fully comp protected, with free comprehensive legal cover thrown in, for my 2002 20VT Cupra valued at £7000.

Alround pretty good I feel considering they originally wanted £415.... Err  which I consider to be way too much as i've got a clean licence, and without 'fault' accidents in the last +9 years.

after calling every insurance company in the yellow pages i managed to get a choice of 2 quotes - ever tried getting a quote for a car with a roll cage? it's damned near impossible...especially when you have an SP30 & a fire claim for which you are classed as being at fualt!!! anyway it was a tough choice...

over £1200 with RAC if i got an engineers report on the cage AND had it chipped... or £670 from more than... if your mods wont affect the speed or performance they don't take them into consideration!

god only knows what would happen if i told them about the remap, lol!!!
