Car hesitating when on Boost...

As title says really!!

It did it the first time the other day and I shat myself. Hasnt done it since, but then this afternoon started doing it pretty often. Kinda begins to boost and then just holds back. Its not all the time tho, just every now and again.

What could be causing this?? Need it sorting asap, cos I gotta drive like 200 miles next week.

Any info or advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Hi, sounds like you're coil packs maybe shagged fella . If you're car is under 5 years old and has done less than 100k miles SEAT will replace them under warranty .

sounds like it's dropping into limp mode. Best thing is to get it on VAGCOM as there's a few things it could be. Mine was doing similar things and turned out to be the MAF. I also bypassed the N249 and replaced the temp sensor at the same time though so they could also have been affecting it.

Whats the best way to get it on VAGCOM, as im about 70 miles from the nearest Seat garage, and dont know anyone in my area with it. Wud just an ordinary Diagnostics machine from most garage's not bring up the fault??

Also, the ECU light had alreay been on for about a week or so before this happened. It's been on the scanner and it brought up the fault codes for Lambda Sensor before the Cat and the Oil Temperature Sensor. Could it be any of these casing the hesitations??

lambda sensor controls the air/fuel ratio so yes if that was flagged as a fault it could cause the hesitation.

You sure it was oil temp sensor and not water temp.

I'm sure someone on here would be pretty close to you and would be able to get it on VAGCOM. Seat charge a fortune for it

That would be good if it was the lambda sensor, as I have a new one arriving from Seat today!

Pretty sure, although not 100%. What would it mean if it was the Water Temp Sensor??

Yeah, i no. Im based in Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria which is pretty much out on a limb. There anyone on here with VAGCOM in my area???

Lol @ all these possible reasons to what causes the holding back yet you havent said what mods (if any) you have or any info about the car.

Have you got vag com?

It aint coil packs, and its not limp mode otherwise you would still be in it. My guess its a ****ed DV or N75 tho. But get it checked on vag com otherwise we;re just pissin in the wind.

where can u purchase one of these VAGCOM Diag machines or devices at? are they easy to operate?
mine car now has the same problem, it starts stuttering and boostin then stutter again but if i lift my foot off and give it gradually it will go better but still slight hesitations, really fecking me off!

I dont know what an n75 does looks like or where it is, along with the MAF thingy
