As some of you may know - had a bad crash the other day in my cupra......9500 worth of damage, so its going to be wrote off

RIP Cupra:(

Always fancied myself a cupra R - but really dont see the point in upgrading from a cupra to a cupra R - i want a change

Heres a few cars that come to mind....

New Honda Civic Type R in Milano Red, with GT pack - and 19s - like this.... http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/249238.htm

Golf GTI, again in red

Mazda Rx-8, but heard petrol on these is a killer!

And then theres others like the Astra VXR, Focus ST - but not too keen on them to be honest

Any suggestions?

Will probably get 9 or 10k from insurance, and if mother is feeling nice - could push my new car budget up to 15ish i say

Thats unfortunate mate.

Hope you get something soon.

The CTR with the 19s looks awesome, but you may need a Turbo so personally i would go for the Golf GTi.

Would you never consider the new Leon? in FR or Cupra guise?

New civic type r is gorgeous, i especially like it in black with black rims, stunning. not particularly fast though, probably slower than the first one and definitely slower than an lcr, and without much room for engine mods. but still a beautiful little motor, like it a lot better than the original which looked like a mini mpv.

the golf gti just doesnt appeal to me all that much, seems like a great car, but again 204hp just wont do im afraid.

i really dislike the new leon so i cant ever see myself in that, so seat will either have to bring out an absolute blinder next time round or else the only car that really attracts me is the mazda 3 mps 265 bhp 4wd as standard, get one with minimal mileage for aroun 16k which seems crazy-low and funnily enough the more expensive but better looking volvo c30 which i simply adore...

as far as i know the most powerful c30 is the 230bhp V5...

Yeah mate I love the new cupra in candy white, but would never got with the FR

Reason being - when i had my cupra, all i ever thought was "damn, should have got a cupra R", so i would not make the same mistake again by buying a FR and wishing i had a cupra everytime i saw one!

But as much as i like the white cupra - it does not look aggressive enough to me - and would much rather spend the same sort of money on the new Type R

Yeah may not have a turbo, and may not have as much BHP - but it gets great reviews, and looks the bees knees!

But being totally honest - i cant see my parents letting me spend so much on a car, especially after writing off my cupra - so may have to settle for a cupra R - in red or luna grey

Stay with the seat family........go for a LCR. You know the leons well, you know us friendly and sexy people. why change?

With 10-15k you can get the LCR with low miles and have re-map and other upgrades.

you wont be dissapointed.

If your going for CTR don't get the 19's, i think they look lovely with the multi spokes but the 19's just don't looks as good, IMHO!

But sorry to hear mate! Least its fully insured and gives you a chance to drive again!

If you go LCR some of your mods from the cupra might fit also
Saving you on modding cash
You'll get a well looked after LCR for £10,000

New CTR or Astra VXR. It's a no-brainer, in my opinion.

I'd avoid the Focus ST out of pure principle. Lovely car but they're so damn common. Ford must be laughing. They can't satiate the desire for the orange rocket!

But on another note, that CTR looks beautiful... and let us not forget how legendary Honda's engineering is. Pure ownage.

Why settle for the RS why not just get an Escort Cossie
I'm not a Ford man but the Cossie ticks all the boxes
You get maximum respect driving that and 4WD

The Escort Cossie is somewhat known for unreliability.. and it sucks for me to have to acknowledge that fact :< Plus, they're all knocking on a bit now, age-wise.

The Focus RS is real-world usable power and it won't cost the earth to maintain.

(Just get the Escort RS Cosworth Lux)
