Car behaving badly

Hi

Had my cambelt and water pump changed yesterday on my 03 LC. coming off a roundabout in Milton Keynes the car seemed to stutter momentarily. It did this again at the next roundabout and almost stopped and then it was ok. I then stopped to refuel and unscrewed the petrol cap and there seemed to be a huge vacuum almost to the point were petrol was being forced out.

Weird, seems ok now but any ideas?

Cheers

Air in the pipe? Timing out? Not 100% mate but would take it straight back to whoever did the pump and belt

Vacuum in your tank could be linked to a problem with the carbon canister/ tank vent valve. I'd be taking it back and getting them to check. Might be worth having a nosy round the engine bay at the pipework etc just to check yourself that nothing is crushed or unplugged.

also keep releasing the vacuum until its fixed because the vacuum in the tank could damage the tank.

Nowt wrong with diesel ;)

Sounds obvious, but could it have just been running out of fuel? How low was the level? The fact that it seems OK now is weird.

Hope it's OK still.

It was quite low on fuel but I've run it a lot lower, seems ok now so fingers crossed it behaves itself.
