Just reading through the thread. Really nice car.
Been thinking about getting hids for a while but will definately go for them now after seeing yours.
I notice you car always looks clean! I have a red one and the back of it gets stinking so quickly since I've had it remapped. Cant imagine what its like with the white FR:D

Thankyou :) Yeh the hids are an awesome mod, got them in the week i bought it pretty much, old car had them and i loved the look they gave. And really appreciate the clean comment, glad someone has noticed how clean it always is haha working away at the moment, only home weekends and it still gets cleaned twice a week! Just finished doing it now :p

What insurance company are you with? im 19 and pay £2000 for mine fully comp, only 1 year ncb like...

With bell, im 20 now and it ended up been just under 1000, thats fully comp with business cover and any other car tpft etc just trying to build up my no claims! I live in a pretty low risk area though to be honest and we have a garage and all that that it obviously lives in every night

Ouch!!! So there are benefits to me being older...insurance!!! lol

keep forgetting your an old wrinkley chino :p

its a nice car mate :)

thanks very much :)

Looking good, some great pictures there! :)

Thanks, hopefully more to come, would have some nice wheels next month but obviously when i have money spare for some its xmas :( typical haha

They seem pretty good but i have heard bad stories from when you try get stuff done on warranty, ive pretty much voided mine on most parts of the car now though haha

Didnt really screw them as such, got about 800 knocked off what they were asking as i paid it off in one lump cash sum, they wouldnt chuck tax in or anything though :( even tried SELLING me an autoglym care kit that you got free with brand new cars, the cheek!

Only update i have managed really is that i tinted my front fogs yellow today, seen it done on a few oem / euro styled mk5 gti golfs in white and also an s3.

Also wanted to try out this tinting film for lights on something small, rather than wasting 50 quid on all the red stuff to do my all red rear lights, only to find i couldnt work it etc.

The stuff seems pretty good, just waiting for it to cure to the glass for a couple of days before i polish it up and refit. Ill try get some pictures tomorrow. I am currently running around with no fogs in, think it looks quite good actually :S also realized how much one of the fogs restricts the side mounted intercooler :O

agreed Scott, the fog virtually covers the sidemounts airfeed. Was running 30-40degree intake temps on sidemount, its never usually over 14degrees now on front mount.

Glad you took my advice, this forum is awesome, if someone on this site doesnt know something about the cars on here, its generally not worth knowing haha

Fitted the fogs back in today, looks pretty good if i do say so myself! and deffos, cant wait till you get your lcr, back from leeds on friday, will have to have a meet up over the weekend! Get them bots ordered :p

yeh it doesnt half, theres only a tiny scoop directing it to the intercooler, the fogs blocks off anything in direct flow! Got them back in now like didnt notice any decrease in performance. Think once i have the other bits and bats done (bushes, tyres, tracking, maybe new wheels) i fancy a turboback milltek or a seat sport front mount.

I noticed a really nice difference when I got the downpipe on, already had catback...feels a bit more torque'y with the FMIC but think itll be when its mapped it makes the difference, hoe that helps u pick :)
