Can we use Skoda dealers?

Having searched the threads it seems that Newbury Seat is very expensive; Pinchbecks quality is lacking and Emmer Green is a no go.
So, unless this info is out of date, where Newbury or North Hampshire is there to go.
Can we use other VAG dealers and are they any good (and reasonably priced) locally? Would a Skoda stamp in the service book affect resale price? And are there any good ones around to recommend?
Thanks.

They won't do warranty work but they'll happily service and repair it!

I got my old Ibiza serviced at Skoda and the buyer didn't care less as its in the group and genuine parts were used!

Yes you can, and usually a lot cheaper, which is crazy. I have heard stories of them doing the odd bit of warranty, but only if they are part of a bigger group that has SEAT in the group somewhere, if that makes sense.

Winchester Motors (skoda) refused to quote to service my LC and said they weren't allowed to, which is total BS but they clearly don't want the work.

I now use DC Autos in Overton, nr the station. Independent, friendly service and proper diagnostics i.e. VAG Com or nearest equivilant. They source all parts via Kings Seat so warranty is not invalidated but labour charges are a lot less.£45 per hour IIRC. If you DO need Seat warranty work done then Pinchbeck's or Kings in North Baddesley are the only local options. I've had services at both with no real probs apart from the price!
