ive noticed people saying about changing water pump at a 60,000 service is this normal? or is the belt tensioned with the pump so its best to change. Cheers.
Hi had my water pump changed with cam belt on 69,000 at garage recomendation. water pump only £25 and makes good sence to change whilst timing belt is off. hope this helps.
yup definately a good move, i had mine done at 47k ish. the standard plastic one fails as it breaks of the spindle. If you dont get it changed it costs you another 100-200 in labour just to have it replaced. It takes 2 minutes on top of the standard cam belt replacement job.
