i just jacked it up, took the wheel off, gave the caliper a good old brush with the wire brush, slapped a thin layer of paint on, let it go off a bit, then slapped a nice layer on, let that go a bit tacky, and then another thing layer. took me about an hour. cleaned and polished the wheel while i was waiting for the paint. only got the other 3 to do lol.

i did consider yellow, but i had a yellow ibiza before this one, and the novelty wore off. i like the red, though i see what some of you mean about the cleanness of black/silver. i prefer silver to black mind.

I used some halfords high temperature paint, only did 1 coat, needs another but still look clean today as my wheel cleaner dissolves all the brake dust off them

oh god yeah. having a mechanic for a father can go one of two ways. i can live through his eyes and learn everything he knows, or i can let him do everything for me and let me get on with watching movies n stuff!

guess which i chose!

i managed to do it. even if it did take me an hour or so and i only managed one!

not too bad, took me about 30 mins to get each brake caliper striped.then just give it a good wire brushing then use some warm soapy water just to get rid of all the grime, allow to dry then give it a coat. then 4...5 more every 20 mins.....or you could leave the caliper on and just mask round it, wire brush it and brush paint it...

cant see the interior when you're stood looking at the calipers, and you cant see the calipers when you're sat in it! so no i doubt it would clash.

depends on you. keep the red theme or be different wih the calipers.

i like my red on my red FR. I also like the red calipers on my dads silver bora. so red looks nice on silver car, imo!

What about a Mat black? Silver i think would be a No No (think of all that brake dust)

my mam's 08 plate has silver calipers from the factory. they seem to stay silver.

won't matt black just be like brake dust anyway lol? gloss black i'd prefer.
