Well so far I'm only 7 months in, and not bored yet. But it's good to know, because I will get bored. I'll want more power, more extras and such.

Leon SC 1.6tdi SE. I would go for an Fr next just for the sportier look and the extra power. Also would like heated seats, climate control, and a few other extras. The standard sound system is really good I think.
I've suffered with door cards rattling which has been fixed once already but now got more. Also my mpg is no where near the quoted amount whereas the fr owners are getting much better than me (bigger engine, more power, extra gear somehow equals better mpg).

i can only talk about ibiza, but yer the fr is much nicer, had a courtsey car normal ibiza and hated it!

And with Leon you get a lot more extras with fr edition.

glad you said that about sound system, i got the best i could in Ibiza with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters and it still crap !

was going to ask if anybody with 1.8 tsi manual had thoughts on it, love my 1.2tsi but could do with just that little bit more power. wont be as economical as my 1.2tsi i imagine.

I've got the 1.8 FR with most of the toys on it too, really love it, fantastic car. I also bought ex demo with 1.5k miles on it, made sense to me as I saved a big chunk of depreciation.

The way I see it, you set a budget of what you're willing to pay, you pick the car you want for the money, if they can give you what you want for the price you're willing to pay, then why not?

cool thanks for that : )

Any tips or anything ?

Yer that pretty much what i did, set them a budget, they went slightly over it but got a hell of a lot more. Im just chuffed with a 1.8tsi i really wanted that extra power for the motorway!
And didnt realize but just found out it comes with bigger brakes (plus side because i think ibiza breaks were crap) and separate rear suspension which has to be a plus.

Sorry guys but these comments about GAP insurance are rubbish.
For starters SEAT don't sell GAP insurance, the dealer sells you GAP insurance from whoever they're dealing with at the time.

Last time I spoke with a dealer about GAP insurance they tried to sell me the AA one.
Quick check online got me GAP insurance at a fraction of the cost WITH THE SAME UNDERWRITER as the AA insurance.
The deciding factor for me was that my online provider covered my motor insurances excess too, the dealers one didn't.
So I went back to the dealer and said I'd take their GAP insurance if they paid me £250 as that's what I'd be out of pocket in the event of a claim.

Incidentally I transferred this same GAP insurance to my new Leon last month, cost me £35 admin, that's all. Try that with a dealer GAP insurance product!

Do your reasarch guys.
