Well thought I'd show the results of last night's effort. It *was* dirty before I started, honest.

If you have the AG SRP then use it. I just would not recommend it as it is a pia to use and really dosn't last especially considering the effort required. Just make sure you cover it with a good quality wax as it washes out over time and this will protecct it a bit more. Something like Collinite or Megs 16 Paste Wax are very durable. Nxt won't last and you will be doing it again after the first rain shower.
To get it looking good depends on how much you want to spend. First of all don't take any advice from someone telling you to use a water blade to avoid the water spots, they do untold damage which keeps me busy at the weekends but you don't want to pay for paint correction if you don't need to. Bin the thing, I wouldn't even relegate it to windows as a scratch is a scratch where ever it is.Use a good quality drying towel like the Sonus der wunder mentioned earlier. As an aid you can spary with Megs last Touch which contains traces of wax and aids lubrication, oo er and will also help break the surface tension of the water . Also a water filter will work get one that is 0ppm rated and don't run the hose pipe through it. Fill a watering can and rinse the car over with that. A couple of cans and you should be fine, leaves no water spots and almost dries itself. Using the watering can prolongs the life of the filter as they are about £45 you want it to last. Also needs to be kept in the dark to avoid damaging the orgainc componenets inside.
Have a look at Detailing World if only for the traders as they are far better than Halfrauds and you will get much better advice.
Wash mitts are better than the old sponge but have been superceeded by the Schmitt, which is a high density foam sponge but nothing like a traditional one. You can see the dirt trapped on them and when rinsed can see if it is all gone unlike a mitt. They also hold a lot more water than a mitt. Don't worry though I could go on for ages and do you a product list running into hundreds of pounds but not sure how serious you are so will leave it at that for the minute.

Sure is Mark. Nice strong solution although you may need several goes at it. Megs do a range of products that will do the job easier though. There is a Body Solvent that is like a strong meths solution, best way I can describe it, that is for that purpose. Or APC which is what I use through a foam gun, let it sit on the car then wash off. Then wash with a Schmitt and a bucket or two with washing up liquid or APC in too make sure. You can test the bodywork when you rinse, if you still have beading you still have wax and need to go again.
Hope this helps.

You'll be fine with APC and fairy. The body solvent I am sure will be fine it is made ny Megs and they know their stuff. Just read the label if you get it, can't remember what it says as it has been a while since I used it.
Just don't use them in direst sunlight or if the panels are hot to the touch, if you leave it in the sun won't harm but may prove a pia to get off if it dries.
