Ive decided to stick with the Cupra 7x17's for my Fr. Ive contacted a guy who is selling a set of 4 for a reasonable price but it involves quite a trek to colloect. Has anyone purchased a set of wheels privately at distance and had to arrange carriage? If so - who would you recommend?

I use APC overnight and they courier a full set of wheels and tyres for £40-£50 dependant on size.

Have a look at where their nearest depot is to you and give them a phone. They will even come to your door and pick the wheels up if you arrnage though.

I'm in South Wales (chepstow) and the wheels are 'up norf'. I see yours are up for sale now, but I dont think the GF would be too happy if i spent £550 + on a set of used wheels! I did check out the carriage costs from you to me though and APC quoted £67 which is unbelievable considering DHL want £170 ish!!

Thats a good price considering the distance - not sure where I went wrong with DHL!

Yes, just that you said you were getting them cheap than the asking price. And the way you said it, i imagine quite abit lower? I'm not saying stoo's is over priced though just wondering.

Ah ok. If you are after 5 with good tyres I think Stoos price is on the money. It depends if you can get a good set without tyres at a decent price. To find a decent set with decent tyres for circa £500 +/- delivery is quite a job at the moment.

Cheers. I had a mate from a the saxo web site i go on ( <--- non chav ) from when i owned my saxo. He done me 4 alloys with tyres for £18 but i'm not sure if he still runs the service or not. It was next day delivery. I'm also not sure what company he used but could ask.
