Model Year 24/25 Buying a new Cupra Formentor mod 2025 - Questions.

Hello guys from Greece.

First of all I would like to wish the administrators and forum members a happy new year. with many and safe kilometers.

I want to buy a car soon and in my search I ended up with 2. The Cupra formentor 1.5 cc/150hp/hybrid 2025 edision and the Alfa romeo Tonale.

I will probably reject the second option (Alfa Romeo), as, now, I can't see another car than the Cupra Formentor! Believe me, in my eyes, it is the most beautiful, externally and internally.

In addition to the beautiful design, what I also appreciated is the level of equipment of the basic version. It has all the modern safety systems, as well as adaptive cruise control. I know its value because I also have a Volvo S60 t4/automatic transmission that has the same system and I think it helps a lot on long trips.

Please, allow me to ask you:

1. The second equipment package, which unfortunately costs a lot of money, is worth paying for and putting in his car. I am referring to the package that includes 360° warnings, semi-autonomous driving and more.

2. Is there any guide who can tell me exactly what this equipment package includes?

3. Now the main thing that concerns me, as I don't know much about Cupra. Have there been any previous problems reported in the Formentor models 2020 to 2024 and those of 2024 - 2025 (facelift)? I will buy the model that exists today, not the oldest one.

4. In a few words: are there any specific problems that have appeared in the Formentor? Do you think this is a reliable car that is worth someone giving money to acquire?

Thank you, I await your answers. It would help me a lot!

Well, I can answer about the model in Israel. I had the previous Formentor version and replaced it with the facelifted one over a week ago. For your questions:
  1. It is the standard package here. If you specify which options it has then I can refer to each one. In the meantime:
    1. 360 degrees is nice, but you need time to get used to it.
    2. Semi automatic driving is slightly annoying as it tries to do things alone (like centering the card inside the lane or assist you while changing lanes). However, you can disable this specific function.
  2. I have no idea... Probably the dealer has to give this list.
  3. The prrvious one had some minor spurious errors in the multipmedia; nothing that off/on did not cure. I had them very rarely.
  4. It is reliable like any other VW as it belongs to the family. This is my second Cupra after two VW (Polo and Polo GTI).

2 months now with the facelifted PHEV.

All ok and smooth except for one thing: scheduled charging functioality was totally removed in a software update (because apparently it was somehow faulty). As of today, it hasn't been restored.

Regarding the package, the only thing I really find useful and find utilty everyday is the blind spot assistant. The other things are interesting but I can live without.

I have the 2025 as well just over a month now, I’ve been trying to find schedule charging, especially be handy at the moment as i dont have a wall charger just the normal plug in socket lead, not much good to me really as my energy suppliers cheap rates are midnight to 0500, not staying up late just to plug it in. The most useful thing I’ve found recently is the ability to get heating on and defrost the car in the mornings
