advice!

As my car is looking nice with the wheels i want to get something done about the standard bumpers i've decided!
i know i've got 2 options, either go for the cupra bumpers which would look good its gotta be said, or go for a more euro/cali style car and go for smoothing and removing the rub strips to make it a it sleeker!

I assume the cupra bumpers would be more expensive an option, just wondered what you guys thought would look best!

Cheers

with it been a 1.2 mate have u thought about trading the car in for a 1.4 dab that way it comes with cupra bumpers apart from a few difference's.

either way would just leave it as it is

Don't know if I've ever seen anyone smooth the standard bumpers. That would definitely be more unique whereas a few people change to the Cupra bumpers....

smooth bumpers look cool...if you smooth the sides...otherwise the look shite and make the car look unbalanced

and...without the right rims, ride height etc, they wouldnt look euro, just plain and shapeless

ditto, if you remove the bumper rub strips you really need to do the side strips aswell, quickly becomes a very expensive job as the holes need to be welded up and you're near enough repainting the whole car

need the whole package to pull off smoothed bumpers, IMO wolfrace toxins wouldn't work. but thats just me

with cupra bumpers you have the issue of the FMIC/SMIC

personally i like the standard bumpers. lowering would help the whole look at the moment

might seem odd...but the sheer fact you consider smoothing rub strips in as euro makes me laugh like a fool!

The rims are wrong, the stance is wrong, and until theyre sorted dont bother....

plus as mentioned smoothed bumpers and non smoothed sides will look silly...granted gerrit (on here) has smoothed bumpers...and smoothed sides and it looks ace!

Me..i think i'll be doing something else bumperwise to be that bit different :)

well.... i know the car won't be euro because of the stance and the rims, but i'm going for a more cali style (smooth bodywork, big wheels, bright colours) look i think, or at least thats what i want!
may have to rethink the smooted sides, maybe some colourcoding would work better, get all the black plastic valances painted bodycolour and they would look a lot deeper and then maybe after a visit to the land of lowering it may look ok....... or maybe not lol

wahts the general consensus on colour coding, hot or not?

thanks for the thoughts btw, croakey you're cruel lol

plus..... the pic on my avatar is only a virtual, the rims sit a lot better on the real thing

not cruel...just telling it as it is bud

why not get the lower splitters colour coded and then smoothed into the main bumpers?? thats an option i looked at before deciding on my new approach....

get the side strips done as well and it will suddenly begin to look a huge amount smoother....

either way keep us updated :)
