Bumper - Couriers?

Hi,

I won a facelift FR rear bumper off eBay and I said to the guy I could arrange a courier to pick it up from him. I've done this before with other items but nothing nearly as big or akward??

Does anyone have any ideas who I could ship it with? A couple I've tried have said the dimensions are too big (I've just guessed weights and dims for it for now). I've asked him to let me know these details so I can get a quote but if anyone has them handy I'd appreciate?

P.S. I just took a guess at a cubic volume of 2000x1000x1000 and <10kg

you will need to find out the actual dim's as most couriers will reject it at the size you have stated. i use www.interparcel.com or http://www.transglobal.org.uk/get_quote.asp for most of my stuff.

Yep, I'll need to get the proper dimensions off him... alternatively I could take a 500mi roundtrip to Wolverhampton for it?

Does anyone know if I'll manage a rear bumper in the back of the Ibiza? I managed to front easily enough but my GF wasn't too happy as it was wrapped round her face

yeh should go as its smaller then the front from memory. you could make the trip to wolverhampton worth it.........stop via p torque for a quick remap

Yes I put mine in the back of my Ibiza, but you'll have to go on your own as you will not fit a passenger in as the bumper end will sit over passenger seat.

yes you need both rear seats down and the bumper curves around the front of the front passenger seat

Up our end theres a company called paisley freight, they specialise in ebay auctions and ive used
them before when I sold my wheels.

Ive just checked the site and they will pick up the bumper and deliver for £25. The only condition with a courier is that they will require it suitably wrapped up so no damage is possible in transit, so best contact the ebay seller first and see if they can wrap it before they were to pick it up.

That's good to know another courier for things like that mate cheers - The guy said he'll deal with all the courier stuff and re-invoice me.

If it's any less than the petrol that it prob would've cost to go down then I'm happy.
