So it's looking like some orders from August/ September are being cancelled even after getting a build date. I ordered mine first/second week in August, called listers seat today but there's no one available to look to see if mines been cancelled till Friday.
I ordered white. No doubt they will run out of that too lol

This is concerning as I spoke to freedom yesterday expressing my concerns that orders were being cancelled, and they assured me that my car had now got a build date and would definitely be built with a delivery time of the mid December and I ordered late July

Surely the orders are being cancelled due to seat running out of paint in colours they are superseding. Why can't Seat just paint them in a different colour and you have the take it or leave it choice still. If you don't have it there will be someone that will especially for the new cupra won't be available for 6 months

The confusion SEAT are causing as much as anything is annoying the hell out of me. I ordered 1st September but my broker who spoke to the dealer yesterday is still saying the my Alor blue cupra is due to be built but no build week yet. I asked for a double check and spoke about others issues with having cancelled orders, but he's adamant that we're still in line to get this colour. Goes against everything I'm hearing from others. I wouldn't mind the Nevada white but don't want to wait another 8 weeks for it.

Without knowing the ins and outs of car production I would imagine a car is painted before the build week quoted. It may be your car is already painted ready to be built.

Hope you all get it resolved soon. Sure sucks having waited for so long to be told there isn't a car for you as I don't see the deals on comparative cars any more either.

Also is the supply of dsg gearboxes being held up due to excess demand for golf r cars from the recent deals

Management in any other business that allowed a **** up as monumental as this, would be sacked.

Well it ain't been cancelled and I'm back to build week 45. So hopefully should be here either the end of this month or beginning of next..

Just my insurance expires on my temp motor the middle of this month. Would rather go car lessfor a couple of weeks to save renewing that policy ( classic car policy) and get shot of the temp motor. But her indoors ain't happy about sharing a motor for a short while. But at least it's getting closer. After spending all this time driving a 1994 rover 414 daily, the cupra is going to be a massive change lol

It's is a bit of a change lol, as I have a massive soft spot for. Rusty old motors.
And although I have always had a fairly modern car in the house hold, I always chose the bangers as I love them. Even if it does make me look poor lol
I'm hoping I will like it. I never gelled well with the mk2 fr+ we had. It was fully loaded with leather, dsg and 170bhp, just never really liked it.
However the little Ibiza fr we have just bought new is superb. Except for the steering adjustment being in the way of my knee, otherwise I love it.
Could always dig the old beetle out the garage and see if I can get it through a mot lol

I've been told that mine was built yesterday and it's now on it's way to Emden. Seems to be an odd port to ship it from unless they're picking other VAG cars up en route?

Hopefully mine is in with yours :) I have week 44 as well.

My 'run about' while waiting for the Cupra is a tipper truck :p

My wait is almost over, just been told it should be at the dealer mid week, so just over a week from dock to dealer. And they say as long as it geta to them by 15:00 i can have it that night ;)

Just noticed that the excess mileage and servicing has gone up on the contract from the quote much like everyone else, so need to raise that as well!! Surely it should not be this difficult..

Could be more difficult ..... could have had yours cancelled ... and I sold my car in readiness .... could deal with a few weeks without a car ..... now I have to find and order another car and wait longer
