Hi all, I ordered a seat Leon ST FR Phev at the start of August 2021, should have been delivered on the 7th feb, build week vanished during the 1st week of Jan 2022, still waiting, no more info from the dealer, they have said if I ordered the same car on the 1st feb 2022 they would be quoting a Nov 2022 delivery, with that logic, should be here by the end of May 2022.![]()
It sounds like there are a few of you that ordered in August 2021, has anyone from August taken delivery of a phev yet?

I ordered phev end of September. Build date cancelled. Same position as you. No info from dealer or seat. Grumpy and frustrated
Just been informed that anyone who ordered a Ehybrid shouldn’t expect it until feb 2023 ish….. that applies to all orders placed since last summer.
Oh, so you currently don't have a build week at all? What had you ordered? Hope I don't lose my build week!!I had a confirmed build week of week 7. This got removed and when I kicked off that is the response I got.
Birmingham Business School professor, David Bailey, told AM that the repercussions of the conflict are likely to increase.
“One big issue for both manufacturers and retailers will be that on further rises to gas and oil prices, which will effect manufacturing and cost of living,” he said.
“But the impact on manufacturing – coming in the wake of pre-existing semiconductor shortages – could be far greater than that we have currently seen.”
Bailey said that Russia’s position as the major supplier of Neon – used in the production of semiconductors – and around 45% to 50% of the Palladium used to produce catalytic converters would be affected.
“Ukraine has its own automotive industries, working in the highly intensive production of components like wiring looms,” he added.
“The impact on this production will be seen very soon and is likely to be ongoing.”
SRGTD beat me to it !!It seems possible that the events in Ukraine will only make matters worse: quote from Automotive Management Online
Indeed; and certain VW group wiring looms are made in a Ukrainian factory. As you say, whilst it's annoying having to wait an extended period for a new car,I didn’t realise the motor industry relied so heavily on Russia/ Ukraine for precious metals. Obviously what is happening over there is awful and am not complaining because of that situation.
