Emailed my sales person, he contacted seat support and they said they're unable to give a date (don't know if that's they don't know or won't) then he said won't be surprised if it was September for delivery - Seat Leon ST FR ordered in August.

13 months ain't too bad....🤪

Yours is an ST in DR but not an ehybrid as I recall?

I doubled down on my Mitsubishi dealer to fix a few things on the Outlander PHEV as looks like I could be using for quite a few more months if your experience anything to go on!

2023 models by then.... 🤣🙄🤔

I ordered a Leon 1.0 TSI SE Dynamic in Magnetic Grey though a main Seat dealership in early July 2021 and was initially given a late September delivery which turned into November and then February. I've emailed the dealership today for an update and I've apparently got a build date of WC 15th March with an early April delivery. I'll believe it when I see it :ROFLMAO:

Yes that is correct, but then there was that rumor that hybrids were a priority over ICE cars, maybe they'll be on the same boat!!??

Yeah that's true. Hopefully have this new infotainment thing like what the golf is getting!?

Think the hybrid priority rumour that was mentioned to me directly by my dealer was a bit of BS polish..., but who knows, I certainly don't!

Could end up being facelifts lol...

Will give my dealer a nudge tomorrow then!
I guess depends how long to fill the ship before it can depart for blighty!
Fingers crossed !
His email said estimated as week 10, but that's a good step in my eyes! Nice little trip to Crewe to collect.

Just reached my dealer now. No further update. Advised that they are trying to avoid giving estimated build dates as they've been so unreliable and have caused a string of complaints via dealers back to Seat UK.
They are only now updating when a car has a confirmed build date.

So I emailed the customer service department in Spain. I’d had enough of no information from the UK. Sent the email in Spanish and had a response today. They have escalated my concerns and someone from The executive office, a customer relations manager is calling me tomorrow with hopefully some further information on build times. Turns out if you email seat head office it gets escalated back in the UK. Will let you know what they say tomorrow. I’ve got a Leon e hybrid with Xl pack and lighting on order since October last year. Who knows what they’ll say….

The only consolation for you guys out there waiting build dates is that, hopefully, by the time your cars arrive, Seat/VW might have finally ironed out the litany of software bugs that continue to affect those of us with earlier cars (SOS alerts, Airbag false alarms and Collision warning disablement etc). You may also benefit from the enhancement that VW is rolling out to the Golf in terms of disabling some of the annoying side effects of the infotainment haptic controls. If the latter is installed, hopefully, that will be made available as a retrofit to earlier build cars.

Timing..., yesterday evening I received an update from the lease company advising that my estimated new car arrival date had slipped from end of April '22 to that of end of July '22...

If that became reality it will be 12 months from the 1st week of August '21 when originally ordered......minus a few days...

So no build week, just an estimated delivery date? Yours is an e hybrid right? But ordered the same time!? Bit of a worry my end..

Yep, just an estimated delivery date and yes, it's an ehybrid with pan roof.

I think original first estimated delivery was in September '21, then December '21, then end April '22...

I don't have faith in the latest date of end of July '22.

Wonder why lol 🙄

Was yours through Seat direct or a separate lease company!?

Haha yeah, keeps moving

Think I've had, delivery est Feb / March 22 at the start, then had a build week 7 so that was like OK that would be around so middle of March, then it got removed, so was like Er could be anytime (September rumours) and now have this estimated build week 10, so looking like mid-end April, let's just hope with all this waiting like we've said before we have much better software!!?

I checked Google Earth, there are plenty of cars in long straight rows outside the factory ...
There’s always likely to be fairly large numbers of newly built cars outside the factory that’ll be waiting to be transported to dealerships and customers.

I suspect if Seat (and other manufacturers) are producing part built cars that are missing semiconductors or certain other semiconductor-dependant components, then they may need to use some sort of off site storage facilities if the numbers of incomplete cars are significant. If there are significant numbers involved, then it’s likely that many of these cars will be stored outside in the open rather than under cover.

Ordered end of May expecting it within 18 weeks but no build date yet.
It finally arrived after 8 looooong months! Looks especially 👌 in Desire Red.
