Hi I've had a quick search but can't find the exact answer,

Do you get a document or anything to show that you have the free breakdown cover from Seat or is there a breakdown number that you call if the car does give up??

The dealer I bought the car from didn't mention anything about it and i can't find anything to do with it in the manuals etc.

Thanks

Depending on when the car was bought you would get 3years or 5 years Seat Assistance (AA).

The number you call is the std SEat customer line which was 0800 222222, not sure if it still is.

The breakdown number is 0500 22 22 22.

You're supposed to send SEAT one of those "owner details" forms but I never bothered and haven't had a problem.

I've replaced the tax holder with a nice Silver jobby :D

That's ok then I'll just write the number down and keep it in the car

Thanks for the replies

The car is a on a 54 plate. Any ideas how long I would get the AA assistance for??

Only 3 years I think.

As for the original question - when I bought my LC, I rang Seat and they sent a letter confirming I had the required cover (5 years for me:p )

My Sep 2003 LCR has 5 years cover. I didnt have any document either, so I sent a letter to SEAT Cust Serv and they wrote back confirming the 5 years.
