Put deposit on it today picking it up tomorrow.
Can't wait. Seems quick enough, hard to know on the test drive.
I will need to fit an armrest and im going to bring it to revo as soon as i have the money.
Are the front brake disks smaller then the 1.8 t 180 leon?
It is black and has a few stone chips on bonnet whats the best way of getting rid of these, im told the chip repair kits are not very good????

Tried to upload pics but it said file size exceeds my allowance, file was only 77kb?? How do i Post pics?

Oh I will have to change my signature now!!!

If you are buying a 05 plate one mate seriously get the dealers to sort the stonechips, i wouldnt be having that. Mine had loads of chips on the front bumper, i just took it back after i spotted them a day after getting it and they put it into the bodyshop for a day and all sorted.

As for Revo i dont know, im waiting a bit as im concerned about warranty. I know most say it doesnt matter but I dont want to risk it.

Did the dealers respray your bonnet or fill the chips?

My bonnet was fine it was the front bumper, it had 3 biggish chunks out. 1 was about 1cm long the other 2 where smaller, they resprayed it and filled it, its like new now. If you are paying that kind of money for a car, which must be what 13k? i would insist, any decent dealer will sort it.

Maybe a tad lower but not much, it could be younger than 1 year, i payed £13,300 for mine 1 month ago and it had 8k on it and was 7 months old.

How much do you think a 3 year old one would get part-ex or private with a full history etc, do peeps think they will hold their value reasonably well over the next 3 years as thats how long i intend to keep mine, just wondered what kind of reasle I would be looking at in the future.

Just to give you an idea how well they hold their value, i bought my 110 tdi se X-reg 8 months ago. it had 65k on the clock and cost just under £6k with FSeatSH. dunno if i was ripped off, but it was pretty much the same as all the other 110's i was looking at. Car was in mint condition despite the miles and i'm well chuffed with it. :D

VW stealers laughed at me when i told them what my budget was, after waiting 45mins to speak to someone [:@] , so i asked if they could point me in the direction of SEAT. It had always been close between the Golf and a Leon but that decided for me.

Basically what i'm trying to say without too much waffle is that i reckon they hold they're value pretty well, similar at the age of my car to an equivalent golf. The Newer FR's are nicer to look at IMO and have more toys, so imagine they will hold their value pretty well. similar mileage and age petrols were about £2.5k less when i was looking, so you shouldn't lose too much when you sell.

I had a mk4 Golf Gti, the 2.0 one, slow as hell. I bought it for 10,995 and after 1 year i got £7300 which is pretty bad but it was a poor model which you couldnt sell as the 2.0 petrol lump was crap. If my leon Fr is worth say 7-8k after 3 years then that will do me. Looking on trader at 3 year old 1.6 mk1 leons they arent going for a bad price so the 150 fr is going to be much better.

FR150 Revo

Hi,
For a look to see how the REVO works on the 150FR have a look at http://www.drivertuition.com/seatleon150.jpg
Blue is the power, red the torque.

Ignore the Tunit logo, it was done on their rolling road. Also got a K&N apollo ram-air type kit on the car but it took another couple of runs for the revo to adjust to it. Car now putting out just on 200BHP. If you notice the power curve, changing at 4500rpm the car always has over 180BHP - hence it's quite quick.
For more info on the car drop us a line off the main website. Car is just about to have its third brake upgrade care of some development work with AP which we are going to release as a kit, once we've road and track-tested the car. Standard Cupra R Brembo discs last about two trackdays! We intend to have the car at a trackday very soon for free rides to demonstrate the kit - and also to sell instruction of course.
Hope this is of some help.
Regards
Mike
