As I said earlier the First Class fits fine in mine so I would just stick with that if I were you.

Seems silly to spend more money replacing something that does the job just as well.

How do you know it does the job as well until you have an accident? Isofix is the safest, and why would you compromise when it comes to the safety of your child?

I have heard conflicting stories about isofix.

When the seat is held by isofix the impact energy is absorbed by the car seat belts stretching.

but

When the seat is held in by the seat belt then the energy is absorbed by the seat belts in the seat and the belt holding the seat to the car.

Does that make sense? Can't remember where I heard it though.

I always make sure that the seat is secure everytime I put him in it, which it always is with the First Class.

Prams and car seats

Hi guys. Been a while. As a father to be I am currently facing the wondeful world that is choosing a pram and car seat...and I thought picking a car was difficult!

Did a search and thought this thread was the nearest to the info I needed (not sure if it would be more appropriate in the general section), and hope there are more of you fathers out there that can shed some light on the different prams etc that will actually fit in the boot of a LCR.

Some potentials are:

Mutsy Urban Rider
Bugaboo Chameleon
M & P MPX travel system

Anyone got these and know if they will fit?

And car seats - are the standard rear "bucket" seats of the LCR going to cause problems? And can anyone recommend a new born car seat?

Sorry if I am lowering the tone a bit, but am really puzzled/confused by the various options out there!
