Not sure of the benefits really...still gonna have to lift your "S" badge to actually open the boot, as there's no other lifting point, so may as well just use the "S" badge...would be diff if there was a specific lifting point (like on Passat).

The S badge only lifts the bar on the inside once the CL has moved the lever inside. In theory the boot popper could do this but not sure how the CL would tie in with it. You would still probably have to unlock the car fully then pop the boot. How do you get the solenoid popper to work with the fob?.

I'm gonna have to work on this now! its bugged me for a while! I wondered if some parts from say the skoda fabia could work? the latch in boot has a spring to pop open boot when lock releases could add solenoid from A3 maybe and if BIG if, comfort module has redundant stuff in like cruise then with a bit of jiggery pokery it might be a flyer!!!gonna take a while to sort trawling breakers etc. my dipping mirror only took 8 months!!!!

a few years ago now i had a renualt 19 16v and did a boot pop on that by removing the central locking motor and disconecting the lock and adding the solenoid in its place powering it up popped the boot, the only thing i never did was add a circuit for a remote. maplins did a module that i was interseted in but its been discontiued so i can not put my method into practice.

THing is there is no where to lift the boot lid once it's "popped" other than the "S" badge, I doubt a "popped" boot will leave enough space where it meets the bumper to "comfortably" get ones fingers under to lift for there, the only other place would be to lift using the rear wiper...which is not great.

Which was my point...if you gotta use the "S" badge to lift boot lid once open, then the solenoid release seems a little redundant...
