Boot fastening rings

Has anyones Altea XL got fastening rings in the boot so that you can secure heavy objects with bungees/straps etc?

Mine has sweet FA fitted but I have found the holes for them. They are shown in the pic of the boot in the manual but not shown on the Seat website as accessories you can buy.

Any ideas?

Hi Banditdog

My XL did not come with them by I am sure there was a post earlier in the year indicating that some XLs were delivered with them, and if thats the case that part should be available as a spare. I do believe that the earlier Alteas came with a net so I am assuming that the ring would be the same.

I stole the ones from my old Fiat Brava as it was on its way to the scrapheap in the sky, and they are a perfect fit.

In the dealer today and had a look in the showroom -

None of the cars had them fitted althought the XL had little black pop out plastic plugs where they should go, unlike mine.

The parts guy could not find them on the system but he did then ring me back 2 hours later to say he has found them and that they are £16 a set. He says they show as being black not stainless.

He has ordered them in for me on friday - will post pics when they arrive.

They are shown in the 360 degree shots of the boot of the new allroad thingy on the Seat site.

Mine has them. The MY08 cars come with the split level boot floor, tie down hooks and net.
