boosting problem need help!

its really annoying me noww.

well tonight i disconnected the MAF sensor to see how it would run as people ahve sed it mite need a new soo disconnect it and if it makes a differnece it need a new one.

well ye i took it off made a tiny tiny bit of differnce but now the dumpvalve sound differnt, it now flutters off rather than a big woooshhh. also the engine management light has come on. i put the maf sensor back on bt the D/V still sounds the same!


any idea guys?

dv maybe naffed. try a different one. or atleast try taking it apart and cleaning it.

right ths morning on the way to work, the engine management light has gone off.

the boost gauge is now sittin on 0 constanly now bt wen the boost kinda kicks in a little bit the needle does show its boostin a little bit.

before the needle wud be right at the start of the gauge and move up and down in the vacum. not its past the vacum and sitts on 0psi all the time.




any ideas

check the vacum line for the boost gauge. it should be sitting in vacum all the time unless on boost

how do i check if it is the dump valve?

i'd try a different dumpvalve to be hoenst. you still got the standard one?

He's got a forge one with yellow spring in...

Just take it off and open it up give it a clean grease it back up and put it back on could be just gunked up or somthing...

good news guy!

well kinda iv solved the fluttering noise i have a bost hose leak, soo sorte that now
but i still feel that therea a lose of power comparted to what it used be and still doesnt seem to boost up as high as it should

iv gopt it booked into PSI tuning tomoz morning there gona see what ti brings up on the computer
