The car peaks at 22 and drops to 20psi instantly but as the revs go up under full throttle the boost drops to around 15psi? Am I being silly? Dunno if this is normal but hoping so, thought it could be a leak.

Did it 25 clicks should be more like 20 oopsy lol I went out in it today down the A5 and I just couldn't get over how effortlessly it picks up speed, the spool noise is simply awesome.

Just want everything to be perfect on it for 2010, spent so much and getting abit paranoid at times lol Plan to go to many shows and Nurburgring in June.

out of interest what does your boost peak at and drop to now and at what rpm's does it start to drop when on full throttle

Erm, well I wouldn't recommend the Split-r to anyone, I've swapped it for a proper full recirc and the difference is astounding :blink: The boost doesn't drop at all, and it's a complete animal to drive! :-o

No way did that Split-r agree with my engine, I mean it did boost to 20psi but it would drop slowly, whereas now the needle shoots to 20 and stays there, while I'm fighting to control it :cartman:

thanks mate mine boosts to 20psi then at about 4.5k revs starts to drop then holds at 16psi think i will take the split-r of and see what the boost does hope mine holds at 20psi like yours

Note it holds at 20psi in 4th, 5th and 6th, in 2nd and 3rd it seems to drop a little to about 16psi. Apparently normal. Definitely more responsive with the full recirc.

My car does exactly what you said in first post and I have a part blow off valve too (Turbosmart).
The boost peaks, then immediately drops and the revs go up (this is with pedal flat on floor) then it drops again and holds for a bit, gradually dropping to red line. No fault codes either.

I think a Forge 007p will be going back on asap!

my car does the same thing. it peaks at around 22psi then quicky drops down to 16psi at 4.5k revs in 4th 5th and 6th gear. in 2nd and 3rd it drops back down to 12/14psi... i thought the drop was normal...does this mean my dumpvalve is the culprit then?

Afaik a drop is normal yes, but under WOT in fourth, fifth and sixth my boost doesn't drop at all, it stays at 21psi. In 2nd and 3rd, it boosts to 20 psi then drops to about 16 same as yours.

So yes could be your DV, what is it?
