boost/vac pipe question

just a couple of questions about the boost/ vac pipe set up on the car.

1. ive replaced most of the vac pipes with some nice yellow 4mm silicone hoses from ebay and fitted them to the car. there very flexible/squishy as they dont have the fiber re-enforced stuff in the wall of the hose.. in theory could that collapse/close on itself under vacuum or isnt there enough force there?

2. since owning the car ive done the n249 mod and removed it and put bolts in the pipes that need to be blocked etc and i now get more of a dv noise which im not bothered about but i seem to have a boost leak aswell. 2.5k onwards if i plant my foot i get the sucking/whistling noise like its a 500bhp skyline. upon inspecting the intercooler hose, one has a small line of oil in the groove between were the rubber pipe meets the metal one.. what i want to know is how exactly is it held in place? i can see a clip on the metal hose. Would it be a case of removing it, cleaning the oil off and reconnecting to fix the leak?

apologies if none of that makes sense..

Will do next time I get it on the ramp. It's the one going down to the intercooler. Not the pancake one the other one. It goes intercooler, rubber hose, metal pipe. And it's leaking between the metal and rubber pipes.

Little update. It's we're the charge pipe joins to the silicone hose. The o-ring inside has gone. There's a guide on another forum to fix it which I think lee on here has done too. Il post some pics once the parts to sort it comes.
