Bluetooth Phone Compatibility

Picked up my new Toledo yesterday and it's just great - reading the manual is a bit time consuming, esp. trying to work out coming home/leaving home functions and configurations via the MFD. I think there are a few typo errors in certain sections as well!

I am using a Nokia 6680 at present - it pairs with the car bluetooth no problem, but so far I haven't got the phonebook to transfer. The comms manual suggests that once paired, this happens automatically - is this the case? or should I be doing something to make it happen? :confused:

Cheers,
John.

My ALTEA is MY 2006 with bluetooth. I had an sonyericsson T630 which was working perfectly. Now I have a K700 and when I have an incoming call, after 2 rings it is disconnected by the car and it still rings but I can't answer the phone. It only shuts down if i removew the battery. And the phone it has been updated. Do you now if I can update my ALTEA's bluetooth?:(

I thinks thats a Sony Ericsson problem. I sold my Nokia bluetooth kit to a friend of mine, he had the K700 and it showed similar problems to what your getting.

@SIMDION

Hi, in Germany/Austria there is an BT-Box update available since Nov/Dec which should be distributed to all the dealers by now.

Advice: both mobile and BT-Box should be updated to latest version!

Sorry, can't tell you you more about version and such, but just today there is a new post out in our forum, where all the member-tested mobiles are listet:
=> http://www.seat-forum.de/forum/showpost.php?p=132464&postcount=234

said to be perfectly working:
Nokia 6230 (V5.35 ->), 6230i, 6310i, 6680
Sony Ericsson T610, T630, K700i, K750i
Motorola V3 Razar, E 398
Siemens S55, S65
SPV C500

conditionally working (slight probs with transfer of phonebook etc.)
Nokia 3650, 6630, 7610
MDA III
Sony Ericsson D750i, P910i

not connecting properly at all:
Nokia 7650
Sony Ericsson P800

Hi Rich,
Sorry I didn't reply sooner.
The answer is no so far - I will take the phone to a Nokia service centre to get the latest firmware upgrade & see if that fixes it.
For ref my current version is: 3.04.11 14-04-05

As I think has been mentioned before, the communications handbook is not very clear about the bluetooth operation - I am assuming that the phonebook should download to the car automatically without having to go through any procedure??

Cheers,
John.

I got the same message as dkpodder, the permission is denied to send MP

so, if you can send me a MP with operate mode instruction in order to retrieve the compatible mobile phone list, I'll be very glad ;)

Cheers

Hi,
should be in the telephone-ECU (adress 77) when reading via VAG-COM or VAS5051 ... should look somewhat like this german example:

Addresse 77: Telefon
Steuergerät: 5P0 862 335 A <= control unit
Bauteil: FSE_2P5x H18 0050
Codierung: 0000555
Shop #: WSC 06402

Hope that helps ... Klaus

BTW: BleuLluvia, do you - by any chance - drive a Twingo as 2nd car ???

Hi BleuLluvia,

I was recently sent a compatibility list by another member of this forum.
Nokia 6111 is too new to be on it, but see below for SE phones included in list.
1st YES is BT pairing
2nd YES is download phonebook.
RAxxx is firmware revision level.

You will note that most listed do both, except the Symbian smartphone models!
Of course, the 2 SE phones you mention aren't listed either, but I guess there is a good chance they are OK for both functions:blink:

Sony Ericsson
K700 Yes 8P0 051 435 BF yes yes R2A041
K700i Yes 8P0 051 435 BF yes yes R2AL029**
P910 not available --- yes no R4x**
P910i not available --- yes no R4C001
S700i not available --- yes* yes

That's my third choice when it comes to Altea-networking ... :D

It's a pity I don't speak/understand too much of the french language ... that's why I didn't register there ... but give my best to sventchik, whom I know from the german forum ...

bye ... Klaus

well done sherlockhomes [B)] [B)] :clap:

yes it is me from autotitre forum, I'll give your best to sven

Ps: I don't understand german language too, so it is too hard for me to follow German forum for Altea or VAG subjects, but it is the best forums to get news

Many Thanks again

BleuLluvia from French Altea Forums

Hi BL,

thanks for that ...
=> http://www.autotitre.com/forum/SEAT_ALTEA-25020p859.htm#r46

... and I'm always pleased to find enough cool pictures in your forum ... :funk:

another BTW:
If I had a nick like yours, that would go along fine with my Sporty .... but I learned that your Altea is "rouge volcano" ... and - asking me - that would be an even better nick ;) ... so how come your nick doesn't match the color of your car ... or will this be too impolite to ask?

Take care ... Klaus

don't worry Klaus

it is not impolite to ask me why my nickname does not match with my car's colour

because, at the beginning I wanted to choose Lluvia blue

therefore I was hesitating between, Lluvia blue, volcano red and luna grey colours....

but my wife preferred the volcano colour :-o

so now, I have a nickname which does not really match with my first preference....:confused: :confused: :D
