Bluetooth Issue

Hello. I recently bought a Seat Leon 1.9TDI with the Bluetooth Handsfree kit as an optional extra. Ever since I drove the car off the forecourt the Bluetooth drops calls all the time - even if I'm not on the phone it drops in and out the whole time. I have a Nokia 6280 - but it seems not to work with any phone. Has anyone had a similar problem? It doesnt seem to be linked to driving conditions, network coverage or anything obvious like that. Even after taking it back to the service team at Seat they can find nothing wrong. Advice?

May be an issue to do with the environment your driving through.

Bluetooth works on a very low power level, so if you drive through an area with a lot of wi-fi networks all operating at 10X or greater power than your bluetooth then it can drop out.

Try a phone on the list on an identical route where you've had problems to see if it's better.

If you can't borrow a handset from friends or family your network provider might be able to lend you an older handset, especially if you threaten to move networks to 'solve' the problem ;)

I've moved this thread to problems / issues. Mine's started playin up. :(

It's been working flawlessly since I've had the car up until a few days ago. Now it keeps losing the connection with the phone and then picking it up again a minute later.

I'm doing the same route I always do to work and didn't have this problem last week or the week before. I've turned the phone on and off again. Removed the device and added it again, but the same happens. Grrrrr..... first problem with the car only three weeks in. :( Eight minute journey to work and it must have disconnected and reconnected 10 times.

Going to try it with my wife's phone to see if it's the same. Both phones are SE K610i's.
