Blower motor removal

Hi guys
My blower motor is broken and I need to replace it - for removing, do I have to remove the entire black box behind the glove box, or is there any way it can come out the top from the engine bay?

It looks difficult to extract.

Mine had seezed when i drip tray was taken best option is underpassenger side of dash is the motor covered in a thin layer of polothene remove this the n the motor unit is round it turns off its stand and ddisconect power earth etc etc and out if i remember correctly

yes its areal pain only the bottom turns i think it was anticlockwise once moved it just comes out becarful of snagging wires tho i found out hard way its bolted onto the pilla

Got the motor out, wasnt bad at all. I was expecting to have to remove the entire heater matrix. Thanks for the help
