Have you not considered trying to install your self? I doubt it will be that hard? Sucks to hear that though! SEAT arnt very useful, if useful at all!

Well I did ask if it would be ok to fit them myself and his reply was that he wouldn't because if they haven't had the proper testing or have failed the testing then if anything was to go wrong with the wiring etc then the car wouldn't be under warranty :( i have just found the email the company sent me saying that the kits it TUV approved. What does that mean?

Is the company foreign that bought them from?

I'm guessing its the same reason as to why you can't buy foreign headlights.
Bit of a shiter for the company to say that but seat say different. Check with a local garage to see if it would pass MOT with them on.

or Just stick them on the front and don't wire them? At least it'll look like you have them lol.

I was wondering if I could get the fog lights wired to the supplied switch but not using the wiring harness they supplied. I will be phoning around tomoz to try and sort it out. I don't think the car will pass if the fog lights don't work and are just placed in the bumper

Oh right, just a thought anyway lol.

I'm sure you can find a garage which will tell you why you can or can not fit them.

UPDATE:

When I got home from work today I found a few bits on the doormat that the postman left :) was excited because I knew I had everything I needed so I could do my custom number plate surrounds :) i ordered a plain black surround and have added a few little bits to it. Some of you might like it, others won't, it's simple and isn't a 'stand out' mod. Will upload pics soon when I get on my laptop.

pics of the latest mod

the bits i got were:
  • 2 x blank surrounds
  • 4 x seat key fob badges
  • 2 x stickers

pic of all the bits

step 1 - applying the sticker in the middle

step 2 - apply two seat key fob badges, 1 either side of the sticker

step 3 - apply 2/3 coats of clear lacquer

simple and hopefully effective when i put them on the car tomoz after work. will get a pic with them on the car.

well i had seen all the usual surrounds with german tuning etc. on them and decided i would do something a little different.

WARNING: major stand out mod coming in thr next 2-3 weeks :) cant waint :)
