Hi there,
I have black alloys on my MK3 Leon Black Edition, and I have done kerb rash on one of the alloys, but the others have paint flaking off.
I'm weighing up a dilemma, last time I had them done on my driveway, they looked great and they were done in a couple of hours, I'm looking at quotes for them to be redone and I'm getting emails back saying they are going to take 3-4 days to do so no car for that period of time is a lot.
Now, did I choose the cheap option by using the done at home option and now paying the price of the paint flaking off, and I should really go for the more thorough method which includes chemical strip, shot blast and powder coat? I don't catch my wheels much on the kerb, one instance since owning the car but something as small as a stone chip stands out to me when the car is cleaned and I don't want to pay the money for it to be not worth it in a few weeks time when they get chipped by gravel.
Cheers.
