BTW, on the subject of door locking, I think parts of the owners manual are written in Spanglish. It says something about pressing the lock button twice in quick succession to deadlock it. The way it is written, I've never worked out if one press or two presses is the most secure. I've always assumed two is best.

Just one of those things that I've never remembered to ask the stealer when I go there.

Mikey, no need one button press locks doors and deadlocks them aswell, two button presses in quick succession locks doors but deactivates deadlocking. Both of the leons i've had/have did this aslo pretty sure its in the manual that way round. This is opposite to ford where 1 press locks and 2 presses deadlock.

Way you could check is leave a window open and reach in and pull door lever after pressing lock button twice (alarm may or may not go off).

Aaaaaaaah, so one press puts the deadlocks on.

I think you're right, the manual says this.

Maybe as a Ford owner for several years, I got confused!

Cheers
