Having just bought a used Forge Split R valve for what I thought was a bargain early last Sunday morning, I have just received it and am quite annoyed to find it's as fake as Jordan's tits.
Turns out after some more hunting that there are loads of reasonably good copies floating around on eBay, so keep your eye open for if you think there is a bargain to be had.
Things to look out for:
I'm speaking with the chap who I bought it from who so far has been pretty good, so will now see if he will refund this to me or I open a case, he sold it as a genuine valve, which it clearly isn't.

Things to look out for:
- Forge do not use Philips headed screw/bolt to assemble their valves, only Hex Bolts.
[*]There should not be any rubber seal visible around the top of the valve.
[*]The top castle should be nicely chamfered and not sharp around the edges.
[*]There should be marks from the CNC process that you can either feel or really see too much.
