I need to buy some new rubber in the next few weeks for the front. I currently have 16" 205 45 Toyo Proxes TR-1's. By the looks of things the Goodyear Eagle GS-D3 are as good as they get, I would be interested in peoples opinions please..

I went from Toyo T1-Rs to Yokohama Parada Spec 2 on the front and there is alot more grip in the dry...they are quite a soft compound so will wear a bit quicker and pretty poor in the wet due to the tread pattern but dry performance makes up for it

I think the answer will be "Use the Search Button"!!

I have had those Goodyear GSD3's on my car (Furby vRS) and I can't fault them in the wet or the dry. The only comment about them is they were absolutely useless in frost and snow. I had wheel spin at 40-45mph/1500rpm in top gear!!

I February I bought a pair Toyo T1-Rs from Camskill for £55 each (£115 inc postage for 2) because they were on special offer and everybody raves about them on here and on Briskoda. I think the Goodyears were about £75 last year and still have 5 mm of tread after a year and 8K miles. I have read the Toyos will not that last long, but give brilliant grip.

I think others may recommend Khumo KU31 or Falcons, but IMO the Goodyears are a very good Summer Tyre

I think I will end up with the Goodyears as I will be doing the Nerbergring in september so best grip will be nice!

That's interesting..auto express in 2007 voted Vredestein Sport Track 3's the best, when did they say the Toyo's were best?

I have T1-R's and they get destroyed if I attempt to put my foot down too much in 1st 2nd or 3rd! ..saying this it needs poly bushes all round and better suspension!

Toyo's are quite a nice price compared to the rest, I agree.

I found the Sport Track 3's for a good price online, but I cannot remember the site! Its the tyre site where there is some computer generated man that follows your mouse around the screen and talks like Microsoft Sam. (very irritating) but I cannot remember the URL! anyone help?

Check out Evo tyre test and click on browse tyre brand to see what hot and whats not. Vredestien sessanta very very good (used them for the last 8 months 26 laps of the nurbrgringand 4 uk track days) miles better than goodyear gsd3 and any thing else i've used. Seems most people buy tyres on the look of the tread pattern  Now running uniroyal rain sports2 for a change and seem evenly matched to the vredestiens. :D

I have found the rainsports here: www.national.co.uk
£215 for 2. This site has them raited as the best: http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Grid/
