Hi guys, i've got a few scratches on my car but i'm having a game removing them, i've tried 2 products and they havent done a thing. I've tried some JML scratch remover and turtlewax polish to no avail. Some scratches do go away when i try brasso but when it dries they come back.

Any recommendations on something that actually works? heh

Cheers guys

Turtlewax doesn't appear to do anything other than cost you money, I thought it was the dogs danglies until I bought some decent stuff!! :D

I had a fair few scratches in my rear bumper, a good half hour polishing with AG super resin polish sorted them out. And these were white scratches on a black car. I then finished off with poorboys wax but that was only for that extra bit of shine, the SRP had done the trick with the scratches.

Of course if you can catch a fingernail in the scratch, no product is going to remove it.
Thats not entirely true. What you can do is get a detailer to work the scratch so it rounds the edges which will make the scratch almost invisible to the eye as the light wont catch it. This of course depends on the width of the scratch too.

On many of the cars I detailed last year, nearly everyone had a scratch and 8/10 I rounded the edges off to good effect. Most angles it was invisible but under special light conditions you could notice it.

*need a machine polisher to do the above.

It's always good when someone comes along who knows what they are talking about. :worship:

be careful with the G3, its a very abbrasive product... i have G10 and that can be used by hand with good results.

As JonJay has said though, in some cases you cant fully remove the scratch but you can blend / dull it down.

BEFORE - This was on a metallic black mondeo i did last year, i used my G220 and a cutting pad with Menz 3.02 and a spot of G10.

AFTER - You can still see the deepest part of the scratch when you catch the light on it but from straight on its pretty much gone.
