My leon didnt like having an enclosed pipe connected to the ramair heatshield, it runs better without it, it sucks like a dyson and im not bothered by sucking in warm engine air as the car is mostly moving so its getting mostly cold air coming in via the air duct beside the headlight. Do the ibizas have the same little black plastic moulding?

hmm. i need to sort my piping out on my dynatwist. there is alot more room for a cold air feed since removing the SMIC. is it best to point the feed away from the front then?! i thought this would have rammed more air in?

more air and more water if you hit a big puddle.
unless youre hitting 200mph (give or take lots) you couldnt possibly be actually forcing air in whenever the turbo is sucking in at an enormous rate in the first place.

front air feed (ram air type scenario) is also likely to be turbulent air. I have had air mass meter read erratically when I positioned my feed pipe to my induction kit (years ago when just chipped) and it would'nt cruise on cruise control without fluctuating like a mofo.... made me car sick. I moved the location of the 80mm flexi duct into the factory location in the top of the inner wing and it was cured and surprisingly read as much if not more airflow. (guessing smoother more laminar airflow has less losses than the turbulant position.)
