Ben's stage 2 Ibiza 20VT FR Last drive

well, ive had my car since january 09, and ive got a few bits and pieces done so i thought id log my progress on here! only got a few bits done, and the bigger changes will start soon hopefully! the alloys were in a sorry state, curbed and sprayed very poorly, so i had them refurbed but i dont have a picture of those yet. Any comments good and bad are apreciated!

CAR SPECIFICATIONS:

- Model : Ibiza Fr
– Engine size : 1.8 20VT
- Year : 2006 '56'
– Colour : Black magic (i think)

ENGINE MODIFICATIONS :

- N249 bypass (restrctive valve)
- Replaced a few hoses with red silicone
- Green cotton panel filter
- Forge 007p recirc valve
- Foge Turbo Intake Pipe
- Polished intake manifold
- Custom 3" turbo back exhaust (sports cat)
- Seatsport front mount intercooler
- sfs (i think) IC hoses for turbo to IC
- Forge uprated alloy IC to throttlebody hose
- Stage 2 remap, at 218bhp.

INTERIOR

- California Scent air freshener
- Boost gauge

EXTERNAL

- Painted calipers
- 3/4 sized number plate
- black grill surround
- Crappy carbon mirrors, front and rear badge
- LCR splitter

CHASSIS

- Seatsport Strut Brace
- Lowered 35mm
- Toyo proxes 4
- Whiteline raer anti roll bar
- 20mm spacers on rear
- Yellow stuff pads

ICE:

- Pioneer HU
- iPod cable
- MB quart components
- JBL amp to components

is that front number plate smaller than standard?
how many pipes did you have left disconnected with the n249 bypass if you havent clompletly done away with the whole n249 that is?

ive got a pic of the bypass somewhere, il try and find em.
there are a few guides on here too.
touchwood, i haven't been pulled over yet. i think it helps that i have a 5 letter private plate on and the correct font.

ive looked at both them n249 threads and cant make perfect sence of them.
i want to get it perfect first time without any problems.
the 205 looks good in the reflection too.

jus added some toyo proxes t1-r's. world of difference, actually wants to grip the road now!

small update, few new bits added and some things removed.
Fitted a boost gauge in the spare DIN slot as some other people's looked cool there, and got a forge TIP fitted which looks nice in the bay, not sure on any real driving difference as of yet.

Bought myself a kestral DAS6 with a few polished and pads a week or 2 ago. heres a few pictures of my first goes.

Wing before: (notice the scratch on near to the lip of the arch)

After, Machined with menz power finish on polishing pad, and finished with final finsh on finishing pad:

a crap 50/50 shot(any advice on how to get the swirl marks showing up better?)

Ordered some HIDs on monday evening, £46 delivered off the bay so pretty cheap. I had to cancel a few jobs this morning due to the weather and the postman had been!

All fitted and working!

loads better than standard and one of my favourite mods for the money

the air filter setup that seems to have changed mpg (which is only good) and the painted grill surround and badge. not a great paintjob at all tbh, the metallic seems to have all bunched in one area, so it'll be redone in the summer warmer weather. also, the leon cupra r splitter is on. i think it looks a bit more aggressive!

next up suspension and exhaust. remap is waiting for a bit.

nah, my MOT was due so booked it in at a family friends garage. i had an MOT, 2 new number plates (stupid here forgot to take off the little one lol) and the forge fitted for a grand price of £42 so i couldnt see the point in getting my hands dirty!!
