Bee Sting Arial Removal?

I need to replace the bee-sting arial on my mk3 Ibiza Cupra, i understand that its an anti theft type so when i unscrew it it just folds down and dosnt come off.

Am i going to have to remove the headliner on the interior roof to get this off?

unscrew as normal n hold the base to the roof n pull the beesting like a bugger , 1st time is a nightmare ,, just make u hold the base

If it's the one with the saftey/Anti theft thingy ... you need balls of steel. Seem to remember putting a foot on my roof for extra leverage!

Or use a claw hammer to gently pull it out of the base.

if u wana remove the base that the aerial screws to id think u,d av2 be under the head lining to remove it.

I aint too fussed about the base at the mo. Although it will need doing soon as the rubber seal is starting to perish. Sounds like i'm gunna have to get brutal tomorrow removing the stalk
