The system is very good. Bluetooth phone function works great and call quality is very clear. Doesn't take too long to install and the mic can be routed via the A pillar and across the bottom of the dash over the pedals.

I found that you may be able to get away from using the ariel booster as I seem to pick up stations quite clearly and the auto scanning function for RDS station is quite good.

You may also want to know that the aerial booster from Nexxia is incompatable as I'm still waiting for a response back from them regarding the correct part. You will also need the facia kit as the standard stereo is very wide and leaves two gaps either side when replaced with an after market.

Lastly the IPod interface is really good as you can select tracks using the beker unit.

Let me know if you need any further info.

Thanks for the reply. I was starting to think no-one had one.

Did you have to dismantle any part of the dash/pillar to get the mike in place? Or was it a case of just tucking in away as you fed it round?

Personally I removed the drivers side A pillar in order to keep the mic up the top by the sun visor. This just clips out with a firm tug. I removed the trim from under the stering wheel and where the headlight switch is. No more than around 5 - 6 screws and again a firm tug to unclip it. I routed the wire down past the fuse box then across the top of the pedals and then up into the area for the stereo. You get two cable ties in with the mic for securing it but i didn't use them.

As I also removed the CD changer as it's no use with an after market unit and therefore in order to make my job of routing the IPod controller cable I removed the glovebox completely so that I could tidy up the cables neatly. Again a few more screws than the drivers side trim but all but one screw were easily accessible.

Just waiting to get the IPod from the missus and that'll be it.

You'll also find that the fitting of the system is very tight but it does go. You may need to adjust the retention clips on the system but the manual explains how.

Ebay. I'll PM you the seller as unit only cost £289 + delivery. For £60 extra you can get the IPod controller.

Only thing I need now is to replace the hole where the CD changer used to be.

Have you tried connecting it to your Becker head unit? Give it a go. Unless the most recent Beckers have changed they work with VAG CD changers. I fitted one to a Polo GTi and it worked a treat :)
