Hello all,

I've been considering the replica BBS CH style wheels sold by eBay shops.
Had anyone had any experience with replica wheels ? Is it worth it?

I can't justify the price of official BBS CH rims so it's either these replicas or stock rims.

Any insight would be appreciated

Don't buy second hand one's like I did as there weaker than the original ones so depending on how there treated they may be a bit bent, in hindsight I wouldn't have bought them as the price I paid plus refurb and straightening has cost an arm and a leg and they still need a lot of weights on.

I've had a few sets of reps on my past cars . Never had a problem with them as I brought them new . Been looking at the same as you , as I'm bored of my rs6 gloss blacks now .

Thing that concerns me about reps is what I saw on tv a while back about them being so much weaker than genuine wheels. They aren't made to the same standards and are very brittle so can just 'snap' upon impact.

I had MVK 5's on my mk1 leon 17inch and loved them. There a rep of a Ferrari wheel, 355 I think. I had them years ago so I don't know if they do them anymore or in 18 inch or anything. I never had any problems apart from a slight furring on the mounting face which made it slightly awkward to keep the spigot ring in place.
