Hi,

It's a "fairly" common problem where the car cuts out (not like a stall) just cuts out and battery light comes on + obviously you lose PAS etc...

Think the general opinion is that it's related to DPF regen time. Mines done it once or twice in 1.5 years. happened a few days apart then never came back. Then happened once again months later and since has never come back.

Is that true mate??

No one has mentioned it on here.. is there any threads on it?

They can't find the fault.

How have you stopped yours coming on?

Search "cutting out DPF"

This was the first thread that came up, but there's a load.

I've never done anything, just never came back. My car was low mileage when I bought it (5-6k miles / year) but I now do ~500miles/week so I get a regen every couple weeks. Wonder if I've maybe blown the crud out the DPF as I'm driving as it was intended to be run. It still reeks when it regents though.

Battery light has just come on again. It can't be to do with DPF as is just done 100 miles on the motorway the day before.

Ringing dealer again tomorrow to pick it up.
