Have you used a battery tray or anything, or just taken the front setup and put it in the boot?

that kinder what am gunna do i already moved the spots out so i can get more cold air in am not gonner move the fillter down near the spot light i dont wana suck up water am just gonner move it near the were the standers cold air feed was, i dint have a cold air feed in but i took it out cose it was rubbing on all the pipes i dint want that so i riped it out

fair enough my friend has the intake down low on his mk3 golf vr6 supercharged. why not then use the fog hole to run extra piping up to the filter?

why not go all out and move the filter down to behind the bumper and remove the fogs for more air in

its where they put them on supercharger conversion on the VR6 engine and my friend has never sucked up water with his chargered VR

i used the tray from the front i cut it down the bottam off and scrwed it down soled then i had to drill a drain hole in the bottam so if it leaks it wont rot my boot floor away the in side i silyconed the tray so it sealed the in side so it will drain down the hold to the road i am gunna put some grease on the hole as well to stop it rusting but i have not done that yet will do soon u gotter fuse it as well just in cace the wire earths on the body of the car (mine hase not at the mo cose i need a 80 amp and all i can get is a 60amp and thay blow wen tuning the engine on so i gotter be cair full) ok matey

i know what you mean with have it low down my frend got a ztec s with a puma lump in it and his is down near the spot light and wen the weather is cr*p it missers and cuts power so he has to be care full ov big ass puddles, my frend how is an engine bullder say if he gose in a big puddle it will lift the head off the block so am sticking haveing it hi lol

but he's got a Ford!! I bet it would do that if the filter was up high too lol!

Seriously though, if your filter is that low, then don't go through deep puddles

Got the plate surrounds at a VAG day at castle combe circuit, £17 i think they were.
The plates, my girlfriend bought them for me from The Plate Man. The website lists spanish ones in White/White, but mine are definitely White/Yellow! She must've phoned to order. If you want legal pressed ones, Dubmeister is the place to go

thanks rich that gid me some right idears now i was wanting to go down the gt28 turbo root s3 injectors but bet there the same as tt ones, but a hybrid ko3s i was looking at them there verey prisey dont no wot am goig to do i want to get sum forge rods and bolts and go for big power like 300+ but dont think my brid will like that so i think shes gonner get this lol the car comes first dont it guys

for the very small gains your going to get i would have left the battery under the bonnet

you watch top gear then lol

cant do no harm in moving the filter further forward and down a bit then its just a case of making a decent intake or two.
if you avoid puddles you should be fine. i know i always avoid puddles did when i had an airbox too.

If your going gt28 route you'll want mroe than TT injectors, also rods too, plus custom downpipe etc. I don't know all the in's and out's of big turbos at all tho, apart from the expense. Hybrid k03s's aren't that pricey, just depends on where you go. I went to the most expensive place because i'm stupid like that. I could have done it for half the cost if I got a turbo direct from TD or CR turbos.

It looks like you've done it right, but you haven't put resistors in place of the electrical connection have you? Look in the FAQ section. Damoegan has done a guide to removing it with resistors etc. I just left mine plugged in for now, but disconnected from all the vacuum lines. Same with N112.

You'll have to get your car checked with Vag-Com in order to clear the fault codes that have already come up.

right i have done that just says vale open and 2nd air injecton falt but the car runs fine, i will look at the faq and do it right, as 4 the gt28 think i mite just do what you have done alot easyer in my eyes pluss theres money issue, rich thanks alot for your help mate chears,
